Language Arts

The Language Arts Department at Norcross High School offers instruction with a focus on complex communication skills. Our goal is that students read like writers, and write like readers. To this end, we focus students on the art of purposeful writing and speaking, which involves the use of specific words and structures to deliver effective communication. Our curriculum includes choices from the canon classic literature, as well as contemporary texts that provide students with the skills to become literate in today's fast-paced communicative environment.
